And now, a note (and some more pictures) from Terry and Marc about their June 2, 2012 Wedding at Sage Bistro, UBC!
When and how did you meet?
We met at work in 2006, at a diamond mine in Canada’s subarctic. On my first day of work, Marc came to pick me for orientation. We started dating after working together for 2 years.
Your Proposal Date and Story?
April 23rd, 2011. On our trip to Spain, Marc took me to the Retiro Park in Madrid and proposed while we sat on a park bench. He suggested going to the park after a long day at the museum. I told him I didn’t want to go because I was tired but am glad he persuaded me otherwise!
What was important to you when planning your Wedding?
To both of us, it was important to keep the wedding small and intimate. We wanted to spend time with every guest and wanted them to feel that their presence on our wedding day was truly valued by us. We both felt that decorations and photography were critical to the wedding atmosphere as well.
Favorite Wedding Details?
The music played by musicians during the ceremony, our wedding cake, the high ceiling of the venue and the sunshine that graced us with its presence on that day.
Favorite Wedding Moment?
Photo shoot in Gastown prior to the ceremony. It relaxed our pre-ceremony jitters and we had fun with our wedding party and photographers.

Do you have any suggestions/tips for other couples on their Wedding Day?
Plan as much as you can before the day, but on the big day, follow what you have planned but if something is out of sync, just go with it (chances are you won’t even notice it because the day is so busy). No one else knows what something was supposed to look like or when something was scheduled to happen. Enjoy the day with each other and all your loved ones.
Anything else you’d like to mention?
Of course, thanks to Chris for not only being a great photographer (we got to hit up all the photo spots we wanted!) but also for doubling as our wedding coordinator for the day!
